A question that has been arising is whether phones will overtake PCs as the primary way we will access the internet. According to the book, the world will have slightly more smartphones than PCs by the year 2013. Personally I do think that smartphones are overtaking PCs, and that we will primarily use our smartphones to access the internet more often that we use our computer. It may not happen as quickly as 2013, but if smartphones become cheaper to buy then why pay for a data plan for your smartphone on top of internet connection for your PC when one product can do it all at the palm of your hand? It would be interesting to see how much more advanced smartphones will become if they eventually overtake the PC and how having such a large amount of internet access around us constantly will impact our lives.
Hello my name is Jerry and I am a smartphone addict. I currently have an Android phone that does everything I need it to. It organizes and synchronizes my contacts between my phone and Gmail account. I keep in touch with friends and family on Facebook and receive and send e-mails. I take pictures and share them with the world, check my bank account, and navigate my way around using Google Maps. If it wasn't for my smartphone, I would still be lost somewhere downtown, lol. But, as much as I love my smartphone, I am not quite ready to chunk my laptop out the window. Make love not war. Smartphone + PC = Sexy
